HelpAge International is the secretariat to a global network of organisations promoting the right of all older people to lead dignified, healthy and secure lives. We have continued to strive for a world in which every older woman and man can say: “I have the income I need” “I enjoy the best possible health and quality of life” “I am safe and secure, free from discrimination and abuse” “My voice is heard” We worked towards this vision by: • providing direct assistance to poor and vulnerable older people, including in humanitarian crises; • advocating and campaigning for changes in policies and attitudes towards ageing and older people, and that these policies take account of gender and disability; • amplifying the voice of older people and network members locally, nationally and internationally so they can influence the policies that affect them; • using evidence generated by our own work and that of network members to inform global action and deba (...)
