The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ) was founded in 2014 with a mandate from its Governing Board of Administrators to provide rule of law-based capacity-building to criminal justice stakeholders — including lawmakers, police, prosecutors, judges, corrections officials, and other justice sector actors — on how to address terrorism and related transnational criminal activities.
