Since it’s inception in 1936 the WJC - the ‘Diplomatic Arm of the Jewish People’ - has been active in countless campaigns: advocating for justice for Holocaust victims and their heirs and protecting the memory of the Holocaust; combating antisemitism and all forms of racism and discrimination, raising public awareness to the dangers in incitement to religious, racial, or ethnic intolerance, oppression or persecution; fostering inter-faith dialogue; supporting the State of Israel; and promoting gender equality, diversity inclusiveness and the involvement of younger Jews in communal leadership.
